Streamlined silage and grass harvesting process

Streamlined silage and grass harvesting process

The process of silage and grass harvesting involves several essential steps:

  • Booking and Consultation: Farmers can contact us to pre-book their seasonal silage requirements. We discuss your needs and accommodate weather windows to ensure optimal working conditions.
  • Mowing and Wilt Times: Depending on the arrangement, either we or the customer will mow the silage or hay crop. Wilt times are crucial, allowing the grass to dry adequately before further processing.
  • Grass Silage/Loader Wagon Silage: For loader wagon silage, our experienced team will do their best to arrive on time to harvest your silage crop. Stacking services are available upon request , along with inoculant application
  • Baling and Stacking: Our experienced team will do their best to ensure you get the best quality silage possible out of your silage crop. We can apply inoculant upon request and offer Kuhn's 3d wrapping system to ensure good air tight bales.
  • Seasonal Considerations:  We adapt our workflow to each season accordingly. Winter is the ideal time for farm machinery maintenance to ensure readiness for the busy Spring/Summer months.

At Waipa Ag Services, we understand the importance of delivering top-quality silage and hay. Contact our agricultural consultants today.
